ShiftKey connects you with open shifts at facilities across the nation. To explore shifts available in your area, simply enter your ZIP code. Just as in Windows, the shift key is indicated by the ⇧ symbol. The keys are located in the second row of keys from the bottom – on the very outside.
To prevent this from happening, Windows allows you to slow down the keyboard repeat rate. You can turn on this “Filter Keys” feature by pressing the right Shift key for at least eight seconds. Once again, a message appears, asking if you want to turn on this feature. If a window moves off your screen or is no longer accessible due to another error, hold down the Shift key and right-click the taskbar icon of the missing window. Then press the arrow keys to move the window back into the visible area of the screen.
When you have the cursor and item in the position you want, release the left mouse button. The ‘caps lock’ key allows you to write in capital letters. Pressing the ‘shift’ key allows you to type capital letters and the symbols at the top of the keys.
That is highly inconvenient and annoying, especially when you’re depending on that day’s work. I called one of the facilities to inquire as to why they canceled my shift, and it was because they went with an internal staffing agency.
